The Save Our Children Campaign, an anti-gay rights organization formed by Anita Bryant, successfully put a halt to the gay rights movement, becoming a barrier to the LGBT community and breaking the pro-LGBT barrier preventing the organization from accomplishing its goal. However, that was only in the short-term, and in the long-term, regardless of the ideas that Bryant tried to place upon people, citizens of the United States opened to the LGBTQ+ community.
